Paperboy Elevator Pitch

Paperboy is like if mario was a depressed burger joint employee, and also he had to fight shadow demons from hell (my former managers).

Playstyle is like if Zelda met Binding of Isaac met Alien Hominid.

There are plenty of major themes and obstacles in this game such as facing grief, corruption, depression, hedonism, narcicissm, and apathetic cynicism.

Paperboy's Dev Story

Been playing games since I was 4 years old when my dad taught me MS-DOS so I could boot into DOOM. I created Starcraft custom maps when I was in elementary school for fun, so I think it was always in my blood to make games.

After my wife left and took my kid, I was basically a horrifically depressed addict junkie for an entire year. I was hospitalized for withdrawals and then went to detox / rehab and am just barely 6 months sober.

I had to get a job working for a particular burger joint, and the experience was so shitty I thought I'd make a game out of it. This is my first foray into serious game development. Fuck it dude, WE'RE DOING IT LIVE.

I've done literally everything solo dolo since shiiiiit dude I can't afford to pay anyone lmao.
